Redefining the engagement ring shopping process is at the very core of what we’re trying to do. We do this in 3 Easy Steps: the design, the diamond, and the experience. We have done years of research on all three of these areas, and have come up with a pretty unique game plan to address them.
Step One: A no pressure, introductory phone call
The Breakdown: You’ll start by making an introductory 30 minute appointment. During this appointment (over the phone unless you live in Southern California), either Rachel or Victoria will provide you with a comprehensive diamond education (an explanation of the 4 C’s and how best to navigate them for your budget). Then we will discuss your and your significant other’s personal style and what type of ring settings you’ve been thinking about. Trying to keep it a surprise? We can help with that! In the past we have helped our clients do a little detective work to create the exact ring their S.O. would have selected themselves! This is your time to ask any and all questions you may have regarding diamonds, styling choices, metal type, and beyond (after all, it’s free advice!).
*Step One and a half: Emails, Pinterest, Sketching
The Breakdown: After our initial phone consultation, the ball is in YOUR court. Yes, you read that right. We won’t be hounding you to “make the sale” as most all other jewelry designers do. If and when you feel comfortable moving forward, we’ll be waiting to hear from you to move the process along. At this point we’ll be in communication over email or phone brainstorming ideas and creating your perfectly unique design. We can go through Pinterest boards together, you can send us pictures of other designs that you have liked elements of, and together we can dream up something uniquely yours.
Step Two: Diamond Selection
The Breakdown: Once the exact diamond has been selected, we can move onto the final portion of the design work. This is where we will nail down every last detail of exactly what your ring will be. Knowing the exact diamond we will be using for your setting is crucial because we can tailor the design to help in the areas that we had to “give”. We can set the diamond in a way to hide as many of the flaws as we can! Or maybe set the stone a little bit higher to give the appearance of a larger center stone. Once decided, we will sketch the final design in extreme detail (to scale, finger size and carat size) to give you a clear idea of what your finished ring will look like. We pride ourselves on capturing the essence of each couple in every design that we do, which is why no two of our rings are the same. After each design we do, the mold is destroyed to ensure you have a ring that is completely unique. This is the time to share if you want anything engraved (at no cost!) on the inside of the band (popular ideas are the date you met, a few words that are special to your relationship, or a bible verse).
*Step Two and a Half: Finishing Touches and Final Sketch

Deposit Time: 30% Down
“Wait, so everything up until this point was free?” Crazy, right! At this point to start the production of the ring, we ask for 30% of the total of your ring. This deposit is refundable up until the day of final payment should we not live up to your expectations.
Step Three: Setting Creation
The Breakdown: We will create a CAD of your ring using our final sketch to make sure every detail is absolutely perfect. The ring will then be cast out of whatever precious metal you have chosen and the diamond will be ready for setting. We set the diamond, clean and polish your ring and engrave anything you have selected into the inside of the band.
*Final Payment and Shipping
The Breakdown: At this point we will send you photos and videos of your finished ring. Only once you’ve confirmed that you love it will we ask for final payment, and once that is received we will ship you your beautiful ring! We provide free shipping and every shipment is insured!
